Stepping out of the studio momentarily,Buntywill be presenting the latest developments of her live Multimos show on tourin April. Accompanying her on the Brighton date are two special guests…
After wowing audiences at the Beatabet stage during last year’s Playgroup Festival Halo Halo bring their afro-tinged psychedelia to Brighton. Vocal chanting, pounding rhythms and electric banjos all fuse together into a mesmerising experience not to be missed!
Gideon Conn returns to grace Beatabet with his unique presence and brings more of his crazy / kooky tales of urban incoherence and child-like musings on the state of the universe…
We’re thrilled to be bringing youLe Juki‘s debut single “Forest Of Stick Insects“. A psych-stomp bonanza of strings and staggered beats. Ramshackle brain-hop percussion collides with a Tom Waits dream of drunkenness in a darkened wood. The song is a taster of Le Juki’s upcoming album and is the perfect introduction to their idiosyncratic take on twisted freak-folk.
Le Juki features a trio of incredible musicians; Beatabet founder member Jules Arthur on strings and synths, Kassia Zermon aka Bunty and virtuoso guitarist/composer Lee Westwood.
Official release is 1st April, but we don’t do things by the book here… Head over to their Bandcamp and grab yourself a free download while it’s hot.
Continuing our series of live showcases, we recorded Spacenoid in the studio last year. It’s part two of the Beatabet Sessions and the electro-prog-assult that resulted has been lovingly dubbed “Clive And Direct”
The first video to be unleashed is Copter – showcasing the band members’ mastery of their instruments whilst kicking you sonically in the balls.
Spacenoid are currently writing an album which we’re very excited to be releasing on Beatabet towards the end of this year. In the mean time we’re putting outClive And Direct via Bandcamp to whet your appetites. You can download it for free or name your price to help support these rising Beatabet artists.
From part one of our Beatabet Sessions series, Keep Fighting is a previously unreleased song that displays a different side of Man Ray Sky. One that is wrapped up in soft stuff that makes us feel nice. Grab a free download from them here and share the love.
Now in it’s sixth month, withMultimosin full swing Mos 4 brings you Adventure! It’s free to download so get involved.
Desert blues meets electro in the anthemic Holy Moses, whilst Missioning moves towards psychedelic pop with it’s crazed catchy vocal loops.
The last track, Adventures (With Jules) depicts a journey through unmarked territories where mysterious voices are your only guide. That’s if you can decipher what they’re saying.
