Continuing our series of live showcases, we recorded Spacenoid in the studio last year. It’s part two of the Beatabet Sessions and the electro-prog-assult that resulted has been lovingly dubbed “Clive And Direct”
The first video to be unleashed is Copter - showcasing the band members’ mastery of their instruments whilst kicking you sonically in the balls.
Spacenoid are currently writing an album which we’re very excited to be releasing on Beatabet towards the end of this year. In the mean time we’re putting out Clive And Direct via Bandcamp to whet your appetites. You can download it for free or name your price to help support these rising Beatabet artists.
Find Spacenoid on facebook for the latest news and upcoming gigs.
Here’s a short video from the festival, with highlights from our own tent and beyond. Thanks to everyone involved who helped make the Beatabet tent so special.

A series of 7 individual multimedia packages for download, stemming from a strange make-believe world starring King Zacky and the Third Party Force, which audiences can engage with on the Multimos website. The first release features 3 songs and a short film.
Musical wild child Bunty doesn’t like to approach things simply. In her own unique style, Bunty crafts hugely imaginative songs using synths, beatboxing, loops, toys, samples and soulful yet haunting singing in real and made-up languages. Her infectious energetic live performances have taken audiences around the globe by storm.
‘She’s doing what bands have attempted to do but all on her own – a great voice to match‘ - Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6
‘Talented? Yes. Original? Yes. Like? Absolutely!‘ Ruth Barnes, The Other Woman Show, Resonance FM
Beatabet will be producing a number of live studio sessions to showcase the bands affiliated with our fledgling record label. The first of these features

Man Ray Sky, who recently appeared on BBC Introducing-The South Radio. Here you can

As you may have heard, Beatabet is stepping up a gear to bring you the most spectacular Metahub to date… www.themetahub.com
We’re privileged to have been co-commissioned by Nuit Blanche White Night and supported by the EU Interreg 4 (Channel) programme as well as Arts Council England. Working closely with Brighton & Hove City Council and collaborating with the Metahub Association, PiP, Quadratura, Phoenix Brighton, C3 and Brightonart, our combined forces will create a large-scale interactive installation that will illuminate the cultural life of our cities.
The Metahub will feature as a centrepiece to both the Amiens Nuit Blanche (France) on the 15th October and Brighton White Night on 29th October, connecting festival venues by streaming live video footage into the Metahub and projecting it onto an outdoor sculpture. Video mapping will transform every face of the sculpture’s cubes into a multitude of projection screens, emanating the sights and sounds created by many of the wonderful artists involved in Nuit Blanche White Night.
As well as live streams, we are encouraging the public to share their experience of the festival and help create content for the sculpture. Anyone can upload their own videos, photos or sound-bites to the Metahub, straight from your smartphone on the night, or at a workstation inside Jubilee Library.
Follow the Metahub on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with the latest info. See you there!
Kicking off our 2011 releases, Beatabet’s much anticipated PU$$Y SHOW has finally arrived. A raucous electro-hop dancefloor banger produced by the man named Dave The Machine, featuring the lyrical onslaught of vocal maestros Bunty and MC Fay-Zee.
Brace yourselves…
The track is downloadable from HERE, name your price and support Beatabet to be able to continue doing what we do.
Directed by Kassia Zermon and Alex Forster, the music video was shot in the back streets of Brighton where the collective is based. 90′s rude-girls and boys strutting their stuff in string vests and shell suits… what a combo meal!
Thanks for all your support. Don’t forget, Beatabet are putting on a night at St. Andrews Church this Friday 17th June with special performances by AK/DK, Officer82 and Tim Didymus. Check out the event page.
