BEATABET : ALLFOURS...

Brighton innovators invade the Shunt Lounge; Four days, four stages, over forty artists.

Following hot on the heels of their triumph at Brighton's inaugural White Night Festival the Beatabet collective invade the sprawling spaces beneath London Bridge station for four days of absorbing and chaotic live performances, gigs and installations. A landscape architect joins a troupe of performers in a culinary feast, a trapeze artist meets a solo cellist who plays music with her dress, Keep Fit classes are interrupted by an all-embracing rock guitar solo from hell...

Beatabet, founded in 2002, is a dynamic coalition of over 40 artists who revel in the overlap between art, music, performance, improvisation and new media. From the 4th to the 7th of March 2009 Beatabet, in their own inimitable style, will curate a plethora of cross-platform work at London's unique Shunt Lounge including an album preview, bands, performances, installations and more, with artists from the UK, Estonia, Belgium, Austria and France.
